Municipality Information System for Excavation and Road Closure Permits

OPIS is a web-based information system for electronic application, processing, issuing and publishing of excavation permits and temporary road closure permits within a municipality.

OPIS enables to register:

- Excavation works and temporary road closures;

- Blackouts

- Interruptions in water and gas supply

- Roadworks, road closure

- Other works that may affect and interest citizens.

Through the X-Road OPIS is also connected with:

- Population Register

- The Commercial Register

- The Address Data System

- The Map Service through

OPIS includes open data interface.

Data about works to be carried out and roads to be closed becomes available to the public right after a permit has been issued.

Citizens can subscribe to automatic email notifications about any works carried out near their home.

Applications submitted electronically through OPIS will go straight to municipality officials and will be processed.

There can be more than one processor and their accounts and rights can be separately configured by each municipality.

Once the application form is filled out, OPIS automatically calculates the cost.

The application will be signed digitally and will thus be submitted to the municipality for processing.
